
Lena Coakley
Lena Coakley was born in Milford, Connecticut, and grew up on Long Island. She studied writing at Sarah Lawrence College and later moved to Toronto, Canada, where she became involved with CANSCAIP (Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers), eventually serving as its Administrative Director. She is now a full-time writer. Coakley is the author of the YA fantasy novels "Witchlanders" and "Worlds of Ink and Shadow," as well as the middle-grade novel "Wicked Nix" and the children's picture books "On the Night of the Comet" and "Mrs. Goodhearth and the Gargoyle."
