Denis Vaugeois

Denis Vaugeois (born September 7, 1935) is a prominent French-speaking Canadian historian, publisher, and former politician from Quebec. He served as a Member of the National Assembly of Quebec from 1976 to 1985, including a term as Minister of Cultural Affairs. He is well-known for his extensive work on Quebec history, the fur trade, and the history of the Hart family in North America. He founded the publishing house Éditions du Septentrion.
