Margaret Weis (born March 16, 1948) is an American fantasy and science fiction author best known for co-creating the Dragonlance shared-world and for her collaborations with Tracy Hickman. She has written numerous novels and series including the Darksword Trilogy and the Death Gate Cycle, and has been active in tabletop RPG publishing and design through Sovereign Press and Margaret Weis Productions.
