Bill Peet

Bill Peet was an influential American children's book author, illustrator, and animator. Born in Indiana, he had a long and significant career at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he worked as a story artist and screenwriter on classic films such as 'Dumbo', '101 Dalmatians', and 'The Sword in the Stone'. After leaving Disney in 1964, he focused on writing and illustrating his own children's books, known for their imaginative characters, whimsical tone, and themes of compassion and environmentalism.
