Michael Winter

Michael Winter is a Canadian writer born in 1965 in Jarrow, England. He moved to Newfoundland, Canada, at the age of three and grew up in Corner Brook. He is known for his novels and short story collections that often blend personal narrative with the history and landscape of Newfoundland. He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and a founding member of The Burning Rock Collective. He divides his time between Toronto and Newfoundland.
