Sue Miller is an American novelist and short story writer known for her critically acclaimed and bestselling novels that often explore themes of family, identity, and the complexities of human relationships. Her debut novel, 'The Good Mother,' published in 1986, became an instant bestseller and was adapted into a film. Several of her other novels, including 'While I Was Gone,' have also been adapted for film or television and have been selected for Oprah's Book Club. Miller has taught creative writing at various universities and has received numerous awards and fellowships for her work. She was born in Chicago and currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
