Dennis Lee
Dennis Beynon Lee is a renowned Canadian poet, teacher, editor, and critic. He is widely celebrated for his contributions to children's literature, most notably the classic collection 'Alligator Pie', which earned him the title 'Canada's Father Goose'. In addition to his children's verse, he is an acclaimed poet for adults, having won the Governor General's Award for 'Civil Elegies and Other Poems' in 1972. He also co-founded House of Anansi Press and wrote lyrics for the television show 'Fraggle Rock'.
