Edith Pearlman

Edith Ann Pearlman (née Grossman) was an acclaimed American short story writer known for her elegant, compassionate, and observant prose. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she lived for many years in Brookline, Massachusetts, which often served as the inspiration for the fictional setting of her stories. She published several highly regarded short story collections, including 'Binocular Vision' and 'Honeydew', and was a recipient of the PEN/Malamud Award for excellence in the short story.
