Ahmad Danny Ramadan is a Syrian-Canadian author, public speaker, and LGBTQ+ refugee activist. Born in Damascus, Syria, he lived in Lebanon before immigrating to Canada in 2014. His work explores themes of identity, displacement, belonging, and queerness, often bridging the personal and the political. He is the author of the novels 'The Clothesline Swing' and 'The Foghorn Echoes', the memoir 'Crooked Teeth', and the 'Salma' children's book series. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and is a recognized advocate for refugee rights.
