Claudia Guadalupe Martínez is an American author of children's books, including middle grade fiction, young adult fiction, and picture books. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, she draws inspiration from her experiences growing up between borders. She is best known for her debut novel, The Smell of Old Lady Perfume, and her 'Not a' picture book series. She currently lives and works in the Chicago area.
