Emily Rodda is the pen name of Australian author Jennifer June Rowe. Born in Sydney in 1948, she had a successful career in publishing before becoming a full-time writer in 1994. She is widely acclaimed for her children's fantasy series, most notably 'Deltora Quest' and 'Rowan of Rin'. She also writes adult mystery novels under her real name, Jennifer Rowe.
