Art Spiegelman
Art Spiegelman is a Polish-American cartoonist, editor, and comics advocate, best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel 'Maus', which depicts his parents' experiences as Holocaust survivors. A pivotal figure in the underground comix movement of the 1960s and 1970s, he co-founded the avant-garde comics magazine 'Raw' and has significantly influenced the medium of comics as a sophisticated literary form.
