Laurel Snyder is an American author of children's books, including novels, picture books, and early readers, as well as a poet and essayist. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, she has taught creative writing at Hamline University and served as a commentator for NPR's All Things Considered. She is known for works such as 'Orphan Island', the 'Charlie & Mouse' series, and 'Swan: The Life and Dance of Anna Pavlova'.
