Joel Stewart is a British writer and illustrator of children's books, known for his Dexter Bexley picture books and his work as a creator and director of children's animation series like 'The Adventures of Abney & Teal' and 'B.O.T. and the BEASTIES'. Born in Barnsley in 1977, he graduated with a first-class degree in illustration from Falmouth University in 2000. He has illustrated books for various contemporary authors and classic texts, and is also a musician who makes and repairs violins.
