Ruth Ware

Ruth Ware (born 1977) is a British author best known for psychological crime thrillers. She grew up in Lewes, studied English at the University of Manchester, and previously worked as a bookseller, waitress, and publicist. Writing under the pen name Ruth Ware, she has published multiple international bestsellers—including In a Dark, Dark Wood; The Woman in Cabin 10; The Turn of the Key; and One Perfect Couple—and her books have been translated into dozens of languages and optioned for film and television. She lives near Brighton, England, with her family.
