Mark Teague is an American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for his humorous picture books and his work on the bestselling 'How Do Dinosaurs...' series with Jane Yolen. Born in 1963 and raised in San Diego, California, he began his career after moving to New York City, where he worked at a bookstore and was inspired to create his own stories. He is self-taught as an illustrator and has written and illustrated over 50 books, often addressing common childhood themes and fears with a whimsical and cinematic style.
