Scott Westerfeld
Scott David Westerfeld (born May 5, 1963) is an American author best known for young-adult novels and series including Uglies and the Leviathan trilogy. He began publishing adult science fiction in the 1990s before gaining wider recognition for his YA work. Westerfeld has lived and worked in both the United States and Australia, and his books often blend speculative science-fiction concepts with action and character-driven coming-of-age themes.
