Linda Sue Park is a renowned Korean-American author of children's and young adult literature. Born in Urbana, Illinois, she is best known for her historical fiction, much of which draws on her Korean heritage, including the 2002 Newbery Medal-winning novel 'A Single Shard'. She has written numerous books, including picture books, poetry, and middle-grade novels such as the bestseller 'A Long Walk to Water'.
