Nadia Hashimi is an American pediatrician and internationally bestselling novelist. Born in New York to Afghan immigrant parents, her work frequently explores the experiences of Afghan women, the immigrant experience, and the complexities of Afghan history and culture. She is also known for her advocacy work and her former candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives.
