Michelle Obama is an American attorney, author, and former First Lady of the United States (2009–2017). Born and raised in Chicago, she is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. As First Lady, she championed initiatives focused on poverty awareness, education, nutrition, physical activity, and healthy eating. She is the author of several best-selling books, including her memoir, Becoming.
