Jarrett J. Krosoczka
Jarrett J. Krosoczka is a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator known for his numerous books for young readers, including the popular Lunch Lady graphic novel series, select volumes of the Star Wars: Jedi Academy series, and the National Book Award finalist "Hey, Kiddo." He creates books with humor, heart, and deep respect for his young readers, which have made his titles perennial favorites. Krosoczka was raised by his maternal grandparents due to his mother's drug addiction and established the Joseph and Shirley Krosoczka Memorial Youth Scholarships in their honor. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and began his professional career illustrating educational readers. His work has been adapted for film and television, and he has given widely viewed TED Talks on creativity, literacy, and resilience.
