Susie Yang is a Chinese American novelist born in Chongqing, China, who moved to the United States as a child. Before becoming a full-time writer, she earned a doctorate of pharmacy from Rutgers University and founded a tech startup in San Francisco. Her debut novel, 'White Ivy' (2020), became a New York Times bestseller and explores themes of class, race, and the immigrant experience. She has lived in the United States, Asia, and Europe, and is currently based in the United Kingdom.
