Donald Clayton Porter was a prolific American author best known for his historical fiction series, most notably the 'White Indian' series, which explores Native American history and culture. He wrote under his own name as well as several pseudonyms, including Paul Lewis, Noel B. Gerson, Dana Fuller Ross, Carter A. Vaughan, Samuel Edwards, Leon Phillips, Philip Vail, and Anne Marie Burgess.
