Barbara Robinson

Barbara Jean Robinson (1927–2013) was an American author best known for her children's books, particularly the holiday classic 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever' (1972). Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, she began writing at a young age and later attended Allegheny College, where she earned a degree in theater. In addition to her popular children's novels, she wrote numerous short stories for magazines such as McCall's and Redbook, as well as poetry.
