Cathi Hanauer is an American novelist, journalist, essayist, and non-fiction writer. She is the author of the novels Gone, Sweet Ruin, and My Sister's Bones, and the editor of the New York Times bestselling essay anthologies The Bitch in the House and The Bitch is Back. She is a co-founder, along with her husband, Daniel Jones, of the New York Times 'Modern Love' column.
