David Wright Faladé

David Wright Faladé is an American author and professor of English at the University of Illinois. His work often explores themes of identity, history, and the African-American experience. He is the author of the novel 'Black Cloud Rising', the young adult novel 'Away Running', and the narrative history 'Fire on the Beach: Recovering the Lost Story of Richard Etheridge and the Pea Island Lifesavers'. He is a former Cullman Fellow at the New York Public Library and a Fulbright Fellow to Brazil.
