Annie Ward

Annie Ward is an American novelist and screenwriter. Her debut novel The Making of June was published to critical acclaim; she is best known for psychological thrillers including Beautiful Bad (published 2019), The Ideal Wife, and The Lying Club. Ward holds a BA in English Literature from UCLA and an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute. She has received a Fulbright Scholarship and has been awarded Escape to Create artist residencies. Her work has been published internationally and Beautiful Bad was nominated for Best Debut Mystery Novel at the Strand Magazine Critics Awards and has been optioned for screen adaptation. Ward has worked in travel writing and film; she divides her time between Mexico and the United States.
