Marcia Preston is an American author known for her mystery and women's fiction novels. Raised on a wheat farm in central Oklahoma, she began her career as a high school English teacher and freelance writer before becoming a full-time novelist. She is the author of the Chantalene mystery series and has received several accolades, including the Mary Higgins Clark Award for her novel 'Song of the Bones'. She is also known for her work as an editor and publisher of 'ByLine', a magazine for writers.
