Edmund Soon-Weng "Ed" Yong (born December 17, 1981) is a British–American science journalist and author best known for longform science writing and popular-science books that explore microbiology and animal senses. He has written for venues including The Atlantic and his books include I Contain Multitudes (2016) and An Immense World (2022). Yong won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting and is recognized for accessible, narrative-driven science communication.
