Simon Schama
Sir Simon Michael Schama (born 13 February 1945) is an English historian, writer and television presenter. He specialises in art history, Dutch history, Jewish history and the history of the French Revolution and has written and presented numerous BBC and PBS documentary series. Schama is the author of influential works including Citizens, Landscape and Memory, Rembrandt's Eyes, The Power of Art, Rough Crossings and The Story of the Jews. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and has held academic posts including professorships at Columbia University.
