Kevin Kwan is a Singaporean-born American novelist best known for his satirical and comedic novels about wealthy families in Asia, including the international bestsellers Crazy Rich Asians, China Rich Girlfriend, and Rich People Problems. His debut novel Crazy Rich Asians was published in 2013 and was adapted into a successful 2018 film. Kwan writes in English and often draws on his Singaporean upbringing and transnational experiences to portray contemporary upper-crust Asian society.
