Tony Ross (born Anthony Lee Ross on 10 August 1938) is a British author and illustrator of children's picture books, best known for creating the Little Princess series and for illustrating popular series such as Horrid Henry and the Dr. Xargle books. He studied at the Liverpool School of Art, has illustrated hundreds of children’s books, and has been recognized with international awards and nominations for his work.
