Rebecca Solnit
Rebecca Solnit (born 1961) is an American writer, historian, and activist whose work spans essays, memoir, cultural history, feminism, and environmental writing. She is the author of more than two dozen books, including A Field Guide to Getting Lost; Men Explain Things to Me; A Paradise Built in Hell; River of Shadows; and Hope in the Dark. Her writing has won multiple awards and appears in outlets such as Harper's Magazine and The Guardian.
