Francine Sandra Rivers (born May 12, 1947) is an American novelist best known for inspirational Christian fiction and inspirational romance. Originally published as a historical romance author, Rivers became a born-again Christian in 1986 and thereafter focused on faith-based novels; her best-known works include Redeeming Love and the Mark of the Lion series. Several of her novels have been adapted for film, and she has received multiple industry awards including RWA RITA awards, the Christy Award, and the ECPA Gold Medallion.
