Megan Whalen Turner
Megan Whalen Turner (born 1965) is an American author best known for the Queen's Thief series, a critically acclaimed sequence of young-adult fantasy novels beginning with The Thief (1996). Her work is noted for political intrigue, elegant prose, complex characters, and classical/ancient Mediterranean-inspired settings. The Thief was a Newbery Honor Book (1997). Turner has published multiple entries in the Queen's Thief series, including The Queen of Attolia, The King of Attolia, A Conspiracy of Kings, Thick as Thieves, and Return of the Thief.
