Günter Grass

Günter Grass (1927–2015) was a German novelist, poet, playwright, and artist best known for his novel The Tin Drum, part of the Danzig Trilogy. His work blends historical reflection on 20th-century Germany with elements of magical realism and political commentary. Grass received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1999.
