Cornelia Arnolda Johanna "Corrie" ten Boom (15 April 1892 – 15 April 1983) was a Dutch watchmaker, Christian writer, and member of the Dutch resistance who, with her family, sheltered Jews from the Nazis during World War II. Arrested in 1944, she survived imprisonment including time at Ravensbrück concentration camp and later traveled widely as a speaker, writing the autobiographical The Hiding Place (written with John and Elizabeth Sherrill). She was recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations.
