B.A. Paris

Bernadette Anne MacDougall (pen name B.A. Paris) is a Franco-British author best known for psychological thrillers such as Behind Closed Doors (2016) and The Breakdown (2017). Born in Surrey to a French mother and Irish father, she worked in finance in Paris and later co‑ran a language school with her husband. She began writing in her fifties and quickly became an international bestseller; her books have been translated into multiple languages and sold millions of copies worldwide.
