Jan Thornhill
Jan Thornhill (born 1955) is a Canadian author and illustrator best known for accessible, science- and nature-focused books for children. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art, she has produced concept picture books (The Wildlife ABC, The Wildlife 123), informative nonfiction for kids (I Found a Dead Bird; This Is My Planet), and occasional adult fiction. Her work combines clear scientific information with engaging illustration and has received multiple national awards and honours.
