Jennifer Owings Dewey is an American author and illustrator of nature-inspired children's books. A naturalist by inclination, she has written and illustrated many picture books and nonfiction titles for young readers on topics including wildlife, animal behavior, and natural history. Her work has received recognition from the National Science Teachers Association and the Orbis Pictus Award; notable titles include Antarctic Journal: Four Months at the Bottom of the World, Wildlife Rescue, Clem: The Story of a Raven, and Can You Find Me? A Book About Animal Camouflage. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
