Susie Steiner
Susie Steiner (born Susan Elizabeth Steiner) was a British novelist and former Guardian journalist best known for the Manon Bradshaw crime series (Missing, Presumed; Persons Unknown; Remain Silent). She began her career in journalism working for titles including The Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Evening Standard and The Guardian, before leaving to write fiction full-time. Her debut novel, Homecoming, was published in 2013; she gained wide recognition for her character-driven police procedurals that blend wit, psychological insight and social observation. Steiner was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma in May 2019 and died on 2 July 2022.
