Karin Smirnoff (born 24 September 1964) is a Swedish author known for a critically acclaimed trilogy beginning with Jag for ner till bror (My Brother) and for being chosen in 2021 to continue Stieg Larsson's Millennium series. A former journalist who later studied creative writing at Lund University, Smirnoff writes novels rooted in northern Sweden that blend literary fiction with stark, psychologically driven narratives.
