Barbara Parker
Barbara Parker (January 28, 1947 – March 7, 2009) was an American mystery novelist and former prosecutor. Trained as an attorney, she worked as a prosecutor in Dade County, Florida, ran a private practice, and later earned an M.A. in creative writing. Parker wrote the Gail Connor and Anthony Quintana legal-thriller series and several standalone novels, and served on the national board of the Mystery Writers of America. Her debut, Suspicion of Innocence, was an Edgar Award finalist; two of her novels reached the New York Times bestseller list.
