Alex Kava (born Sharon M. Kava on 1960-06-07) is an American novelist best known for her psychological suspense thrillers featuring FBI profiler Maggie O'Dell and K-9 handler Ryder Creed. Raised in Silver Creek, Nebraska, she graduated magna cum laude from the College of Saint Mary with a B.A. in art and English, worked in advertising and public relations, and published her debut novel in 2000. Her books have appeared on bestseller lists internationally and have sold millions of copies worldwide.
