Donna Tartt

Donna Louise Tartt (born December 23, 1963) is an American novelist best known for The Secret History (1992), The Little Friend (2002), and The Goldfinch (2013). Tartt's work is noted for its dense, atmospheric prose and long intervals between novels; The Goldfinch won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. She was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, raised in Grenada, Mississippi, and studied at the University of Mississippi and Bennington College.
