Kristin Harmel (born May 4, 1979) is an American novelist and former magazine journalist. A longtime contributor to People magazine, she is the author of multiple international bestsellers—most notably historical novels such as The Book of Lost Names, The Forest of Vanishing Stars, The Paris Daughter, and The Winemaker’s Wife. Her books have been translated into more than 30 languages. Harmel lives in Orlando, Florida, and is co‑founder and co‑host of the web show/podcast Friends & Fiction.
