Sarah Porter is a writer, artist, and freelance teacher. She is the author of Vassa in the Night (Tor Teen, 2016), a modern, darkly magical retelling inspired by the Russian folktale "Vassilissa the Beautiful." Porter has taught creative writing to students in New York City and holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing.
