Nancy Farmer
Nancy Farmer (born 1941) is an American author of children's and young adult fiction known for blending adventure, fantasy and science fiction with settings and influences from Africa and historical myth. Her best-known works include The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm; A Girl Named Disaster; The House of the Scorpion; and the Sea of Trolls series. She has received multiple Newbery Honors and won the U.S. National Book Award for Young People's Literature for The House of the Scorpion.
