L. R. Wright
Laurali Rose "Bunny" Wright (born Laurali Rose Appleby) was a Canadian novelist and journalist best known for her mystery novels set on the coast of British Columbia. She began her career in journalism before publishing literary fiction and later concentrating on crime and detective fiction. Her novel The Suspect won the 1986 Edgar Award for Best Novel. Wright also received the Arthur Ellis Award and taught writing; several of her works were adapted for radio, stage, and television. She died of breast cancer in 2001.
