Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy, known as Leo Tolstoy, was a Russian writer who is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential authors of all time. Best known for his novels War and Peace and Anna Karenina, he was also a philosopher, pacifist, and social reformer whose later works focused on moral and spiritual themes.
